You may have thought meditation is not for you and as it conjures up an image of someone who is far removed from yourself. But anyone can meditate. You don’t have to wear special clothes or even sit in any particular way, you can practice anywhere, wherever you are; walking, travelling, waiting at the doctors, standing at the school gates, sitting in your car or even in the middle of a difficult meeting. It can just be for a minute or much longer, there are so many different types of meditation to choose from to suit everyone. You are not entering a different world you are just focusing your attention and eliminating the crowded thoughts that may be making your mind jumbled and causing you stress.
It is the simplest and fastest way to manage your stress. Within a few minutes you can actually calm yourself bringing you some inner peace away form the chaos surrounding you and not allow your ex’s behaviour or legal matters to upset you. It allows you to take some time to recollect your thoughts and gain some calmness and clarity to be able to deal with your emotional rollercoaster during the separation process. It will help you to be able to make the important decisions that will affect you for the rest of your life by having a clear decisive mind.
The benefits are endless, the sense of calm, peace and feeling balanced can help not only your stress levels but also your overall health and these benefits stay with you long after any type of meditation practice. Ideally to begin and end the day with a practice means you are able to clear your negative thoughts that you may wake up with and also those that you may reflect on in the evening then you will have a clear mind to sleep better and to begin the day with positively and calmness.
